Progress has been made...

After printing a prototype version of my project I analyzed the pieces and took note of many issues and ideas. Every connection that allowed the piece to move worked, and stationary parts stayed separate. The new and final pieces are being printed at this moment. In the mean time I have a picture of the prototype.

From this prototype I was able to edit and remodel some of the pieces. I can reuse the base of this prototype for my final design.

This is a picture of the calendar during the start of its print. It's about to start printing the end of my project.

Progress has been made! Connecting pieces for each ring of the calendar has been made. Along with the knobs, cap, the other two rings. An assembly has been made to show all of the parts put together to show what the piece will look like.

As soon the emboss of each number for the days, months, and years has been done and is now ready to print. Currently a rough copy of this calendar is being printed to test the moving parts. In the computer model the part moves and behaves as expect, yet, the real world printed version will need to be test and may have to be improved upon.

Currently I am working on a Mayan calendar to be used to keep track of dates throughout the century. The design will be 3D printed and will contain 3 moving disks. With the base and month disk completed I am ready to move into the days and year disks for the next few days.

These are pictures of the base and table with color added to see different sections of the parts.
